We need every dollar we can find to donate directly to the candidates early in the campaign cycle. To accomplish that, we need an expert led, data driven approach to identify where the biggest impact.
Midterms Project Political Data Sources
Here's our curated list of sources that we are aggregating in a single ranked list, based on all available private and public data. The current stack ranked list is below. The committee has been using a wide range of research tools to identify those Democratic candidates with the best chance of winning, including legitimate local District polls where available, direct communication with individual campaigns and candidates, national political analytic groups like the Cook Political Report and Real Clear Polling, other appropriate national polling organizations like Emerson, Quinnipiac, CNN, RMG, Ipsos, Morning Consult, FOX News, Reuters, etc. We have been watching where other Democratic support groups are investing their resources. Finally, there are several national political consultants who are running several congressional races in multiple states with whom we are communicating. By approximately mid-June this committee will recommend our initial slate of races to help finance.
The Midterms Project 2026 Recommendations
Based on the sources above, and expert advice from members of our Recommendaitons team, we have analyzed and handicapped the races, ranking them for the maximum impact for any dollar donated. You will notice that we are focusing on all races- where there is a Democratic candidate identified, as well as those that Primaries have not yet been completed. June is the date that most of the national primaries will conclude, with a few more State primaries as a late as August.
This means that we will revise, and update this ranking right up to the June and then August dates. In some cases, early money has an outsized impact. In others, late money will have a bigger influence. We have incorporated dates along with recommendations to arrive at a ranked recommendation.
What this means to you, the donor is that whether you are donating $250 or $17,000, each time you donate, your donation will be equally split amongst the most effective races- the candidates on the donation forms align exactly with the recommendations that you see below. You can rest assured your donations are having the most impact. Most important: your donations flow 100% directly to the candidates, in real time, exactly as listed on the ActBlue forms. There is no middleman or overhead on your donations. (These donation links are hard coded to NOT expose your information to the DNC, or DCCC or any organization involved in spamming)
You can donate to both the House and/or the Senate races, depending on how you prioritize the importance. Most of our members are donating to both.
Our goal, and the recommendations from our elections experts is to split your donations in two phases- one early, June/July for the races that early money most matters, and once more again in late August. You should plan for two separate tranches for your donations to have the maximum effect.
Please forward this webite to everyone you know that wants to make an impact but may be getting bombarded by competing messages. We built this iniitiative with that in mind. In our experience, people that are concerned want to make sure their dollars go to the most effective candidates in the most effective races. This makes it easy to know that is where your donations are going.
One more thing- we are not just Democrats- our members count Independents and Republicans in this project. This is not a partisan effort.
