We need every dollar we can find to donate directly to the candidates early in the campaign cycle. To accomplish that, we need an expert led, data driven approach to identify where the biggest impact.
Midterms Project Political Data Sources
Here's our curated list of sources that we are aggregating in a single ranked list, based on all available private and public data. The current stack ranked list is below. The committee has been using a wide range of research tools to identify those Democratic candidates with the best chance of winning, including legitimate local District polls where available, direct communication with individual campaigns and candidates, national political analytic groups like the Cook Political Report and Real Clear Polling, other appropriate national polling organizations like Emerson, Quinnipiac, CNN, RMG, Ipsos, Morning Consult, FOX News, Reuters, etc. We have been watching where other Democratic support groups are investing their resources. Finally, there are several national political consultants who are running several congressional races in multiple states with whom we are communicating. By approximately mid-June this committee will recommend our initial slate of races to help finance.
The Midterms Project 2026 Recommendations
Based on the sources above, our team is handicapping the races so that that maximum impact for any dollar donated is ranked by race. You will notice that we are focusing on all races- where there is a Democratic candidate identified, as well as those that Primaries have not yet been completed. June is the date that most of the national primaries will conclude, with a few more State primaries as a late as August.
This means that we will revise, and update this ranking right up to the June and then August dates. In some cases, early money has an outsized impact. In others, late money will have a bigger influence. We have incorporated dates along with recommendations to arrive at a ranked recommendation.
What this means to you, the donor is that whether you are donating $250 or $17,000, each time you donate, your donation will be split amongst the most effective races. You can rest assured your donations are having the most impact.
